Tip Toeing in My Jordans: The Original Video Explained
Searching for the original "Tip Toeing in My Jordans" video? Here is where the clip actually comes from, what song it uses, and how it became one of October 2026's biggest memes.
The original clip is an AI short film
The barn scene comes from an AI-generated fairy tale short film. NBC News traced it to AI artist and filmmaker Tatyana Tereshchenko. It was posted on Instagram in late August 2026.
It is not from the 1987 Rumpelstiltskin movie, even though it looks like a vintage fantasy film. That mix-up is a big part of why people kept sharing it.
The song: "Tip Toe Wing In My Jawwdinz" by RiFF RAFF
The original short film had its own music. Meme makers later set the tiptoe moment to RiFF RAFF's 2014 track, usually written as "Tip Toe Wing In My Jawwdinz", which gave the meme its name: tip toeing in my Jordans.
How it went viral
On October 1, 2026, a post on X of the dancing Rumpelstiltskin with the RiFF RAFF track passed 9 million views in a few days. Remixes followed on TikTok, with people swapping in TV characters, friends and pets.
On October 18, Jacksonville Jaguars players recreated the tiptoe dance as a touchdown celebration at their London game, pushing the meme back into the spotlight.
